While we rejoice from the temporary victory of short-term gains through wrong, nefarious activities. Harm is being created not only to the person we intend to harm but at the same time we are also harming ourselves. We unknowingly are harming the purest part of ourselves. We are harming our conscience.

The silent voice of conscience constantly guides and directs us. It creates the distinction of right from wrong. It leads us towards the right and away from the wrong. But the lure of the popular path of shortcut and quick fix is so loud and blinding that the soft inner voice of conscience is ignored. The inner voice gets fainter and fainter and over time we don’t even recognize or hear that inner voice any longer. The inner voice is silenced due to repeated disobedience and neglect. once the inner voice is slowly silenced forever. Then we can freely carry on doing one mistake after another. Feeling happy and proud for the wrong activities that bring us quick and easy gains.

As you sow so shall you reap.
After some time, the fruits of the wrong and quick gains start showing up. They are totally different from the quick and pleasant gains we received a while ago. They are painful. Harmful, destructive. There are no gains any longer. We keep searching for it but only find pains. The loud voice of popular and quick fix gains dies quickly. Destroying the illusion of the jackpot, the path to riches and happiness. That’s when the faint inner voice of conscience is heard loud and clear. We feel sorry for the wrong doings. We begin to experience guilt. We find it hard to forget the wrong doings. Our guilt, the punishment for our wrong doings starts to haunt and torment us. That’s when we start looking for ways to undo the wrongs.

We come to the realisation that our redemption is in overcoming the guilt. But the quick fix never taught us that. While it taught us to lie, hurt, harm, live a life of duplicity. It never taught us the way out of the web of guilt.
The fruilts of wrong is so painful that we now desperately seek a way out. The issue is how to deal with the guilt. How do I forgive myself and rid myself of the guilt.

It’s extremely painful in this phase as we are reminded of all the wrong doings and the consequences that others faced and suffered due to our misdeeds. Their pain is felt in our hearts. Their sufferings are now ours to feel.
To find a solution to our pains and guilt we will have to get in touch with our conscience, the righteous inner voice.
We need to find a quiet place away from the noise of the external world to get in touch with our inner voice, our inner self, the essence of God within us, our conscience. we need to retreat to a place of quiet and solitude where we can reflect over our deeds and their impact on the people around us. There alone with ourselves we start the process of redemption.
Write down each wrongdoing, the pains and consequences that people we wronged had endured. All the mistakes that are bothering you, recollect and write them down.

Write the feelings that you experience due to those mistakes, beside each of the respective wrongdoings.
Next write, what amends need to be made to reduce the negative impact?
We can never undo what ever had been done but we can reduce and compensate for the wrong. Thats our redemption.
Write it down in great detail as explicitly as you can. All the possible compensation that you could possibly give. In kind, money, service, words of healing and pleading for forgiveness. Plans on calming their anger, resentment. Reducing the pain and suffering.
Write down the action plan that you would undertake.
For eg
I said hurtful things to my friend
What’s bothering me? I am sad that I made her go through all that pain.
Amends need to be done. I apologise and seek her forgiveness
Action. I meet up or call her and tender my apologies and make amends
This is an extremely short and over simplified example.
You need to be very elaborate on the steps you will undertake in your action plan. The more you operate from your conscience; your conscience will appropriately guide you in depth and intensity corresponding to your alignment with your inner voice and your conscience.
Only and only when you are truly and fully true to your conscience and compensate to the fullest extent possible will you experience healing and your repentance will be complete.

Your conscience will be healed of the guilt.
There are no shortcuts like donation, meaningless chants and formatted prayers or offerings to wash the guilt of wrongdoings. It’s only from real honest effort and dedication that you will be able to walk on the path of forgiveness and redemption.
Homeopathy combined with counseling has proven time and again to be extremely effective in healing the wounds of the past.
