How to overcome loneliness and depression?

Loneliness and depression is the outcome of frequently encountering failure in any area of life. Each time we encounter failure a small part inside of us starts to fall apart. We begin to break. Our confidence and enthusiasm takes the beating.

Depression

After several failures we are so battered that depression sets in . You start avoiding people and feeling lonely. Find it difficult to gel with people and even in a crowd you feel lonely. The energy levels fall and we feel drained, tired and exhausted even at the start of the day. The whole day is a drag. Just pulling along. Somehow we are functioning but by force. After a while a time comes that we totally break down.

Counseling session

At this time you can make up your mind. You could either visit a psychiatrist/ psychologist. Or give it one more try before you go for therapy.

Goal setting

There is a very powerful method that can change the course of your life for good. It’s a 180 degree turn from depression and negativity. From hopelessness to hope. It’s the magic that has made crafted and engineered every greatness. It’s Setting GOALS.

Goals create a shift in our thoughts, action and reality. It creates enthusiasm and power that drives depression, lethargy and negativity away.

The enthusiasm is so contiguous that anyone who comes in contact even briefly is energised.

The trick is begin small and grow big.

How about setting a very small achievable goal like waking up 10 minutes early. Doing your laundry. Work at it and achieve it.

Try increasing the challenge level slightly higher each time and achieve it.

If the goals are tough and you find it difficult to achieve, reduce the challenge level. Let’s consider you set a goal to run 1 km per day and slowly increase it by 100 meters daily. It goes good for the next couple of days. But after a week or two, If it feels too much. Reduce it to 50 meters increase every 3rd day. But don’t stop

Celebrate each small victory.

You’ll need to push yourself really hard for the first few days. Once the positive feelings kicks in it will get exciting. Every success will increase your levels of confidence and positivity.

You will feel energetic and lively. You’ll like to be around people.

Remember it’s extremely important to set goals in the areas of your interest and liking.

Dream, set goals, chase them, fail, rise again. Get so involved in your goals, you’ll never know depression or loneliness.

Remember to set goals worthy of you
